The aim of Racing Enquirer is to provide interesting and informative racing analysis and previews – completely free of charge. Whilst there are as many ways to bet as there are horses in training, our focus is primarily on value. So, if you’re looking for the next ‘nailed-on-max-bet-NAP’, then this site probably isn’t for you. If, on the other hand, you enjoy reading about the statistical aspect of racing, combined with in-depth study of the form and runners, then our Race Previews should contain all the information you could ever want. A word of caution is offered here to temper any expectation that quality, in-depth analysis has a linear relationship to results: alas, it does not. If you do like the look of one of our recommendations, we would urge that caution be your watchword as we are looking primarily for value. This strategy isn’t for everyone but it’s a good idea to understand the basic principles we apply in our analysis.
When we publish a Race Preview – or any other article for that matter, it stays online and is not taken down immediately after the event – whatever the outcome. That way you are completely free to compare our analysis with the actual event. You can check any result from any post at any time.
Entire books have been written on this topic – and so to quote Friedrich Nietzsche “It is my ambition to say in ten sentences what others say in a whole book.” Any horse can win any race is as good a place to start as any. Obviously, there are horses that are more likely to win than others – and rightly so. What we are looking for at Racing Enquirer are opportunities for horses to outrun their odds given a certain treatment in a certain race. This may be due to any number of factors and you can be quite sure that each is given its due consideration in the in-depth analysis of our Race Previews. And so, in a nut shell, we are attempting to identify horses that are likely to perform well under certain conditions which are offered in the market at prices which we believe poorly reflect their actual odds of success. That’s it.
Although we do include correct current odds at the time of publication, we are not encouraging readers to wager, do not provide any bookmaker sign up links, and have no affiliation to any bookmaker in the UK or anywhere else. To reiterate: If you do like the look of one of our recommendations, we would urge that caution be your watchword as we are looking primarily for value.
